This is an excellent opportunity for the right person. The successful candidate will be extremely organized, mature, motivated to succeed and excel in a fast paced environment.

Based at our Greenhawk on the Avenue location you will be a member of the Greenhawk retail team. This challenging and rewarding position will encompass a wide range of responsibilities, based on customer service, diligence and sales in the equine industry.

The successful candidate will be detail oriented, extremely organized, motivated to succeed, well versed in equestrian industry, extremely responsible with the ability to understand that the customer is #1.

Incorporated in 1986, Greenhawk is Canada’s largest retailer and distributor of equestrian products, with corporate retail stores, a franchising division, a mail order catalogue department and an e-commerce web site. We are dynamic, intense and growth oriented.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide outstanding customer service in a friendly, courteous manner
  • Instill company values and develop the store through gaining a solid understanding of the local market
  • Make certain on a daily basis the store is clean, inventory levels are appropriate , products are displayed to maximum appeal and they comply with company guidelines
  • Spearhead staff development and motivation
  • Work flexible hours including days, evenings and weekends
  • Coach on a daily basis the retail staff
  • Provide customers with quality products and excellent service
Skill sets required:
  • Strong working knowledge of the horse industry
  • Ability to use sound business judgment and make fact-based decisions
  • Assesses customer needs and provide expert advice about available products
  • Demonstrates features and benefits of any product, which may complement the sale
  • Self-motivated with proven team building skills
  • Mature attitude and a strong work ethic are essentials
  • Ability to handle difficult and/or intense situations diplomatically and professionally
  • Demonstrate success in this role as a direct result of the ability to be flexible, plan, organize and prioritize
  • Efficient planning and organization skills
  • Show the ability to lead, build and manage a team of associates
